Thoughts from Home

Before Puto got sick, we’ve been planning on what to do with his dirty ears. I and Ace are planning to bring him to the animal clinic for grooming, that is, cleaning his ears and clipping his nails. But if we cannot bring Puto to the vet, we are thinking of getting a mouth guard so we will be safe from his bite should we clean his ears. Despite that Puto was sick, we were just glad it is him because it would be easier for us than if Kiaw-Kiaw would get sick for I think it is too hard to find cat supplies here. It is then more difficult to bring a cat to the clinic that what we’ve gone through when Ace’ first orange tabby named Kingkang had an allergy. However, if we’ll ever need cat supplies for Kiaw-Kiaw, then we’d better check out jefferspet[dot]com. It would then be easier than scouting for supplies in the local animal clinics and pet shops for felines like Kiaw-Kiaw.

Our helper turned one month with us today. In a month, I could say she is a big help and also a big source of headache and stress. Big help because there’s somebody who could take care of some chores especially the laundry, throw the garbage every night and do some minor daily cleaning. The big problem is, she needs to be reminded over and over again on what and how to do a thing and that pisses me. Even a simple instruction as wipe the floor everytime she’s done with the dishes (because she splashes so much on the floor), she just can’t remember to do it and needs to be reminded all-the-time or if I don’t feel like reminding her, I just wipe the floor in front of her (so she’ll be reminded of my instructions to her) but still, she can’t get what I am trying to say to her.

She’s even a source of stress because she’s taking things, using our belongings and eating food that’s not for her without asking permission. She even ate Ace’ share of Goldilocks brownies that I kept inside a tupperware (so she may not see it) and the Goldilocks polvoron that I kept inside an ice cream container inside the cabinet where I keep the tupperwares and food keepers. Though she has eaten her share already, she gets and eats other’s share of food and that is what we really loathe in here because we are not used to that kind of attitude. My sister would even ask permission if she wanted to eat something while that helper just gets and eats to her heart’s content. She just feels at home while filling her tummy! Now there’s so many things that is missing in here especially Che2x’s things and that bothers us because we are not that kind of people who just take something and use it without asking permission. Since I will be giving her her salary today, I will then confront her with our issues to her and hopefully, she will adjust and change for the better.
