Can’t get over

I thought I was over with auto insurance quotes because this is the third time I mentioned it in my blogs. Anyway, these are helpful for people looking for car insurance companies so they could be able to compare rates and policies first before making a decision. After all, they will be shedding out much for this so they must be sure that the insurance policy that they are getting fits their needs. I am hoping I’d be in their shoes someday – compiling insurance quotes and making a comparative analysis. Crossing my fingers! :-)

Pinoy Big Brother house

During our Manila getaway the other month, one important thing in our itinerary is a visit to the most popular house in the country. It’s the Pinoy Big Brother house (PBB house) where the most watched reality TV in Philippine television show is taking place. It houses the housemates from different walk of life that are competing for the big win.

We didn’t get a nice photo (without distractions) because they are busy setting up the stage for the eviction night.

If we watch on TV, the house seemed to be very big but in reality it is just a facade. That disappointed Ace too much because his expectation isn’t met!LOL. However, I still love the house because of its color – two of my fave – yellow and blue (our wedding motif). Hmmm….will it be cool to paint our house like these?

Not so good LCD TV

Have I blogged about it (that’s the problem of maintaining too many blogs because I tend to forget what I already posted and where it is posted.LOL)? I guess not. Our LCD TV that Ace got from his bonus last year broke. Days after the one-year warranty expired, it showed signs of defective panel (as I searched the net what’s wrong with our TV). Many have the same experience as ours so our TV’s case is not isolated. Reading through the experiences of others with LCD TV that broke after the warranty expired, Ace came to a conclusion that the short lifespan of an LCD panel is the reason why LCD TVs are now on great sale! The price depreciated by thousands so people will be tempted to buy and the units will be disposed easily. Of course people from Samsung didn’t agree to that. For them, prices of LCD TVs went down by couple of thousands and more because led hdtv is making its way to the market. For Ace, Samsung released another kind of TV because LCD TVs aren’t of good quality and won’t last for years. So if you’re planning to get an LCD TV, think twice. Better read reviews first or consider getting a LED HDTV.

Now our TV is in the service center for two weeks already. I really hope it will be fixed or if they will tell us to replace the LCD panel which according to the technician costs much, maybe we’d better sell our TV to them so they could use the other parts and get a new TV.
